Karen Travers Studios is a newborn, milestone and family photographer in the Anchorage, Alaska area, with a studio in Chugiak, Alaska.
I want to capture the chaos, the giggles, and the ‘everyone just smile!’ moments of family life—without the stress, the awkward poses, or the bribery (okay, maybe just a little bribery). I make photos fun, natural, and actually frame-worthy, so you’ll have memories you want to show off—not just stash in a digital graveyard.

Cake Smash
From simple and sweet to full-on themed party, cake smash sessions are all-inclusive: custom set design, smash cake, outfits, and access to my prop + backdrop collection. You show up with your birthday kiddo—I’ll handle the messy fun.
Gummy smiles, wobbly steps, big kid grins—every age has a story worth capturing. Milestone sessions are studio-based and perfect for 6-month sitters, 1st birthdays without cake, or any age you want to celebrate. Choose from confetti, balloons, or clean, classic backdrops.

Sleepy snuggles, tiny toes, and those once-in-a-lifetime first days. I will safely pose your baby while also providing wraps, props, and setups—just bring the baby and the diaper bag.

Snuggles, tickle fights, and real laughter—no stiff, awkward poses. Family sessions happen outdoors or in my cozy studio in Chugiak. I’ll guide you through outfits, locations, and prompts so it feels like play, not a chore.
