What to Wear for Your Family Photo Session: Simple Tips for Beautiful, Timeless Photos

One of the most common questions I get before family photo sessions is:

“What should we wear?”

The good news? You don’t need perfectly matching outfits or an entirely new wardrobe to create beautiful family photos. A little planning goes a long way, and I’m here to help make the process as stress-free as possible.

There’s something incredibly special about photographing a family more than once — especially when you get to witness the transition from anticipation to arrival. This sweet family first came into my studio for their maternity session, and getting to welcome them back again — this time with their newborn in their arms — was such a full-circle moment. From glowing mama to brand-new baby, this session felt like the perfect continuation of their story.
