Oh my gosh this family is so cute, and this newborn session is one of my favorites. Mom came in with lots of ideas for fishing themes (dad is a big fisherman!), and we just played. So much fun!

An idea that we came up with on the spot actually ended up being my very favorite shot out of the session. I have loooooots of props in my studio. So sometimes when clients come in and look around, they’ll find things that they would like to use in their session, and I love that! I had done an outdoor themed cake smash session a few days before their newborn session, so I had a felt axe and a pile of logs in my studio, and we tried to come up with ways to use it. So we came up with this shot: 

SQUEEEEE is he not the cutest little log you’ve ever seen?! 

Mom and Dad were so proud of their newest little one, and I’m in love with all of their ideas from this session. And, isn’t mom just gorgeous? I’m pretty sure I looked like I was hit by a bus after having kids, and I get all these stunning moms in my studio.
